Foodever is a cool, modern food court featuring restaurants which serve a variety of local specialties. If you’re coming here for lunch, you might like to try mugikiri udon, a Tsuruoka favorite at Yuishin. If you’re here in the evening, why not sit down at Ayatsuru Sake Bar, and pair a Yamagata sake with a plate of sashimi fresh from the Shonai Coast?
The market has plenty to offer beyond dining options as well. There’s a Tourist Information Desk staffed with guides who speak excellent English. If you find yourself in Tsuruoka without a plan for how to spend your time in the area, dropping by here is a great place to start.
Foodever’s proximity to Tsuruoka Station also makes it a great place to do any last-minute souvenir shopping. There’s a market area with vendors who deal in both locally-made products, as well as items from all over Yamagata.
Reviews from Google Maps
Authentic Japanese food, rice bowl, Italian, cafe, meat bar, handmade soba, udon, sake corner, and wonderful lineup! This time I wanted to eat lightly, so I ate handmade soba and nigiri sushi at the food court.
